Africa's leading manufacturer of power, telecommunication and control cables and cable accessories, the Powertech Cable operations includes Aberdare Cables, Alcobre (Portugal), Cables de Comunicaciones (Spain), Aberdare Intelec (Mozambique), Swanib Cables (Namibia) and Alcon Marepha.
Powertech Transformer
Transformers are fundamental devices for the transmission of electrical power. Powertech Transformer consist of 2 divisions, Power Transformers and Distribution Transformers, formerly known as Desta Power Matla. Its offerings include manufacturing of transformers, laboratory and site services, tapchanger and other training, support, service and parts for all transformer equipment and the erection and commissioning of transformer and related equipment.
Powertech Batteries
The storage of energy is a critical necessity for multiple applications. Powertech Batteries includes automotive and industrial batteries divisions selling Willard and Sabat Battery brands, to meet automotive OEM and export markets as well as industrial needs for high-quality lead acid batteries, as well as Battery Technologies, and Rentech, who specialize in standby and solar power applications.

Powertech Industrial specialises in energy management, electrical protection, home and building automation, electrical accessories, lighting, electrical insulation, industrial automation and motor protection. Its operations include Crabtree Electrical Accessories SA, Strike Technologies, and Powertech Calidus.

Powertech System Integrators, through its Powertech IST group and Technology Integrated Solutions (TIS), applies advanced integrated technologies in order to supply best of breed engineered systems and solutiosn to Utilities, Mining, Metals, Minerals, Manufactruing, Pulp and Paper, Petrochemical industries.
