Altron Transformation Vision 2012

Transformation at Powertech is guided by a unique group internal charter which was developped and is applied by our parent company, Altron. Through a steady process of empowerment through training, shareholding and development of disadvantaged communities, Powertech is committed to the letter and the spirit of Broad Based Black Economic Empowerment legislation and the framework outlined by the dti Codes of Good Practice.

While the concept of empowerment is decades-old within the group, by focusing on areas which will produce the maximum long-term benefit such as education, training, health, social welfare and job creation Altron and Powertech support a national programme which is considered a commercial and moral imperative.

Under the terms of the Altron Transformation Vision 2012 - a blueprint for achieving set targets for sustainable transformation the group addresses all five codes listed in the dti's Codes of Good Practice:  Ownership, Board and management control, Employment equity, Skills development, Preferential procurements and enterprise development, Socio-economic Development
